This getting started course includes learning safety, weather conditions, kite and power control, launching and landing the kite, body dragging, self-rescue, and water start with a few meters of downwind riding. One thing to keep in mind is that different people learn at a different pace. So if you are a fast learner, you might be able to finish this course much faster and move unto the advanced segment.
Price includes:
- 6 Hours course
- Transfer by zodiac to and from our spot (platform/boat)
- Transfer to and from hotel in Safaga/Soma Bay Area
- Full gear from Duotone and safety equipment (vest, helmet shoes, wetsuit)
If you’re still feeling that you aren’t there yet, you have the option to take extra lessons for €90 per hour.
Level 1 & Level 2 course Includes
Know safe wind directions, the wind window and power zones, kitesurfing conditions and understand hazards |
Setting up the trainer kite and understanding safety systems |
Learn basic flying skills with the trainer kite and master launching and landing |
Setup of 4/5 line kites with full de-power systems and performing pre-flight and inflight checks and settings |
Learn assisted launch and land of 4/5 line kites until you are able to self land. |
Learn kite control and understand de-power and safety systems. |
Learn water entry and exit independently while safely controlling the kite |
Learn water relaunch and downwind body dragging while keeping the kite controlled and stable, as well as switching positions and direction. |
Learn self-rescue and upwind body dragging for board recovery |
Learn upwind body dragging while holding the board with one hand |
Learn to enter and exit the water safely from the same point while upwind wind body dragging |
